Tennessee Walker Gaited Mare $1,500

Our gal Val tacked up. She finally has a saddle that fits after her saddle fitting session. She is a beauty!

Val is a beautiful gaited 13 year old Tennessee Walker

that is very sweet and oh so smooth. She is a dark dapple

bay with a white star and slight stripe on her nose. She had

been beaten when we got her so she will only go to an

approved experienced rider. We got her 2 years ago and was

not ride able as she had real trust issues. We couldn't even

catch her. After about 3 months of ground work, trailer

loading, catching, desensitizing, grooming, tacking and farrier

work we have had her on the trails about a dozen times. She

has great potential as she shows a great deal of confidence

yet does need more work at giving to the bit and turning.

She has great ground manners and lunges very nicely.

She needs a rider with real soft kind hands. She was sold to me as registered yet no papers were given. She has really nice feet. Perfect for the farrier and loads and unloads in trailer perfectly now (she was awful when we got her) She does not need shoes and goes a long time between trims as she wears her hoofs down evenly. She has great potential and if someone were to put 4 days a week working her for a couple months she would certainly be an incredible horse. She also would throw some lovely colts. Looking for a forever home for her. She deserves that. I think she could go any direction as far a discipline. Pictures shown were taken back in September of 09 shortly after we bought her. She has a scratch on her face and you can see the ridge that was worn in her face due to her halter being on continuously. I am going to put more training into her and her price will go up as she progresses.
